About
Hi, I’m Tiki.
My journey to the worlds of translation, writing, and editing began in academia, where I studied Jewish studies.
I have been a writer since childhood, but I didn’t know that I loved translation until a fellow student asked me to translate an article from Hebrew to English for them, and I didn’t know I loved making sentences better until another fellow student asked me to edit their paper for them.
It was easy from there. Since then, I have been lucky enough to dip my feet into numerous worlds. I have written about auto insurance, SaaS, beauty and hygiene products, popular science, and more. I have used my background to translate parts of the Hebrew Bible, and serve as the Talmud editor for an award winning cookbook that combines women, Talmud, and food. I have translated for esteemed academics alongside non-profits.
I approach every client and project with a sense of curiosity. This is what I love about my work. It gives me the opportunity to engage with so many universes and become acquainted with so many fields. What can I learn from this project? What does my client want to put out into the world?
With that curiosity also comes a sense of obligation. My commitment to producing the best text possible-whether it is translated, edited, or written, stems from my feelings of responsibility towards my client and the text.
